PORTSMOUTH — Portsmouth Middle School students sampled food produced at the student-run Portsmouth AgInnovation farm after the program recently reached a milestone: Food grown by students can now be served to their classmates.
The farm and its students earned food-safety certification this winter, clearing the way for basil, tomatoes and garlic grown there to be featured in a recent margherita pizza taste test.
