Peixoto in Super Lightweight bout on nine-fight card

LINCOLN — East Providence fighter Elijah Peixoto makes his debut with the promotion Friday night, Aug. 9, at Twin River Casino on the CES Boxing card scheduled for the evening.

Peixoto, who trains in the stable of Roland Estrada at the Big Six Boxing Academy in Providence, meets Carlos Otero in a four round Super Lightweight bout.

Peixoto has one professional fight to his name, a win. Otero, of Tampa, Fla., is 2-0 in his young career.

Peixoto vs. Otero is one of nine bouts on the card, which is headlined by the Juiseppe Cusumano vs. Steve Vukosa contest for the vacant WBC USA Heavyweight title. Fights start at 7 p.m.
