It's refreshing to see the above comments. Facts should always be used to counter emotion masked as knowledge.
The AR-15 is not an assault rifle. An assult rifle must be automatic capable by definition.
The M16 is not a considered a semi automatic as it's most important characteristic is it's ability to be set to full automatic.
I do not know the writer of this article but I will give him the benefit of the doubt...for now. Jack Baillargeron above calls for the article to be corrected.
I'll wait and see if that happens...but I won't be holding my breath.
