Report Inappropriate Comments

I agree that the terms of where and when should be well in advance of the event, if at all possible.

I did, however, receive a call-back from the Barrington Times's Josh Bickford. Josh stated, as above, that the correct story is that Shaw's would not let the Veterans sell their poppies INSIDE the foyer, but told them that they could set up under the overhang outside.

It may be that this is a policy for liability. Given that Stop and Shop and other stores are more flexible, however, I still believe that Shaws could also be more respectful of the men and women who fought and served for our country. If it is true, that the employee would not give their name, that is unprofessional and disrespectful behavior.

IMHO, there is no need to ban them from the foyer. I will stand by the original writer (veteran), and no longer shop at the Barrington Shaws.
