Report Inappropriate Comments

Regionalizing is anything BUT a good idea. Regionalizing the animal shelter (or any other municipal department) would be a nightmare - how do we share the shelter fairly? How do we allot the costs? To whom do the staff report (unless you'd like to regionalize the police depts as well)? How are taxes apportioned by each town to cover the budget?

When approached several years ago about the idea of a regional shelter, Mr. DeAngelis was not interested, because "we don't have an animal problem." Now, it would seem he would like to share resources, but not costs.

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far.
