Tyler G. Quintal-Mendonsa, 21, Portsmouth

Tyler G. Quintal-Mendonsa, 21, of Portsmouth, R.I., passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of Richard and Jocelyn (Quintal) Mendonsa of Portsmouth.

In addition to his parents, Tyler leaves his brother Logan Mendonsa of Portsmouth, his grandmother Corinne Quintal of Somerset, Mass., his grandparents Ronald and Kathy Mendonsa, of Florida his great-grandmother Rita Mendonsa of Newport, his uncles, Ronald Mendonsa and Randy Mendonsa also of Florida, his cousin Amanda and his aunt Mary Pavao.

Tyler will be meeting his Cousin Ryan, his Uncle Dennis and many others that will greet him on the other side.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. at the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, R.I.

A remembrance service will begin at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
