Two men charged after alleged fight at Portsmouth bar
PORTSMOUTH — Two men were arrested on Saturday July 18, after police responded to CJ’s Pub, 568 Park Ave., to investigate a report of a fight in progress.
Stephen Dupre, 25, of 120 Rhode Island Boulevard, and Allen K. Mason, 28, of 61 Whiffle Tree Lane, Tiverton, were each charged with disorderly conduct (fighting/tumultuous behavior) shortly after 1 a.m.

Tuesday, July 7
Kyle J. Lewis, 30, of 9 Tilley Ave., Apt. 3, Newport, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense), after he was pulled over on West Main at Mailcoach roads shortly before 2 a.m. for speeding and committing a roadway violation. Police also cited him for refusing to submit to a chemical test.
Jennings A. Suc Lem, 31, of 14 Appleby St., Newport, was charged with driving without an active license (first offense) after being stopped for speeding on West Main Road at about 12:15 p.m.
Erica L. Walton, 36, of 4 School Court, Bristol, was charged with driving with a suspended license after being pulled over for speeding on West Main Road around 2 p.m.
Nicholas R. Valente, 33, of 117 Lewis St., Tiverton, was charged with driving with an expired license. He was pulled over on Boyds Lane around 5:15 p.m. because he was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.
Johnny Williams, 18, of 340 Felix St., Second Floor, Providence, was charged with driving without an active Rhode Island license after being pulled over for speeding on Route 24 at about 10 p.m.
Thursday, July 9
Brandon J. Reusch, 32, of 7 Clifford St., New Bedford, was charged with possession of a controlled substance — two vials of testosterone (steroids) — after being pulled over for numerous traffic violations on the northbound lanes of the Sakonnet River Bridge around 11:40 p.m. Police said they found numerous items of drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Friday, July 10
Nicholas P. Dugan, 28, of 1818 South Main St., Apt. 2, Fall River, was charged with violating a no-contact order involving a 31-year-old female resident of Portsmouth. Police had issued a warrant for Mr. Dugan’s arrest and took custody of him around 7:30 p.m. at the Tiverton Police Department, after he was located in that town.
Saturday, July 11
Jeffrey Cruz, 41, of 30 Calumet St., New Bedford, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after police stopped his vehicle on Route 24 North at Sprague Street shortly before 2 a.m. He was also cited for refusing a chemical test, police said.
Dan N. Georgiou, 46, of 79 Roger Williams Court, was arrested on a Superior Court full bench warrant after officers with knowledge of the warrant pulled his vehicle over in the parking lot of Cumberland Farms on East Main Road in the south section of town shortly after 10 a.m.
Sunday, July 12
Michele Dunlop, 52, of 39 Bourne St., Apt. 1, Bristol, was charged with two counts of larceny of under $1,500 at about 2:25 a.m. Portsmouth Police had issued an affidavit warrant for Ms. Dunlop’s arrest, and Middletown Police arrested her at the Howard Johnson Hotel in that town. Ms. Dunlop was suspected to be in possession of two items that had been reported stolen, according to police.
Kurt A. Stovall, 33, of 65 Walnut St., was charged with domestic cyberstalking and cyber-harassment in connection with an incident that took place the previous day, police said. Police issued a 24-hour pickup warrant and Mr. Stovall turned himself in at the police station around 12:10 p.m., according to police. The victim was a 32-year-old woman from Portsmouth, police said.
Tuesday, July 14
Raylona Jones, 20, of 43 West Evans St., Newport, was charged with driving with a suspended license at about 5:15 p.m. Ms. Jones was pulled over for a traffic violation on East Main Road at Bramans Lane, police said.
Charles E. Taylor, 27, of 25 Truman Road, Newport, was charged with driving with a suspended license around 7:45 p.m. He was stopped at a weigh station for speeding on Route 24, police said.
Wednesday, July 15
Kevin R. Davis, 46, of 96 Dexter St., was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after police received a report that a possibly intoxicated individual had pulled his vehicle into the parking lot at Schultzy’s Snack Shack, 346 Park Ave. The man stumbled out of his vehicle to order food at the window, police were told. Police said when they arrived, they found Mr. Davis in his vehicle, displaying signs of impairment, and charged him at about 8:25 p.m. He was also cited for refusing a chemical test.
Saturday, July 18
John H. Hackett, 61, of 2848 East Main Road, Apt. 3, was charged with assault after allegedly pushing a co-worker in the face following an argument at the Portsmouth Post Office, 95 Chase Road.
Katherine C. Imswiler, 33, of 85 3rd St., Newport, was charged with disorderly conduct after a police officer observed her allegedly urinating on the beach around 3:20 p.m.
Matthew J. Rustad, 38, of no permanent address, was charged with disorderly conduct (making loud/disturbing noise), after police responded to the Bradford Avenue area to investigate a report of a disorderly male shouting. When police arrived, they said they found Mr. Rustad walking along the road, highly intoxicated.
Sunday, July 19
Amanda M. Marks, 31, of 24 Jennifer Lane, Tiverton, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense), after being pulled over for a traffic violation in the area of Corys Lane and West Main Road shortly before 8 p.m. She was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.
