PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth Patriots varsity football team improved its record to 2-2 in Division I following a come-from-behind victory over Barrington on the road Friday, Oct. 4.

Portsmouth spoiled the Eagle’s Homecoming with a 28-16 win.

The Patriots are now 2-2 in Division I, while Barrington is still looking for its first win. The win follows Portsmouth’s thrilling last-minute, 34-27 victory on the road against Westerly Sept. 27, in which Adam Conheeny threw five touchdown passes

Portsmouth now prepares for its Homecoming game against Division II West Warwick at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12. The annual parade will precede the game.

The Patriots will host Cumberland at 7 p.m. on  Friday, Oct. 18, and then hit the road for games against Charity (noon on Saturday, Oct. 26) and Bishop Hendricken (7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1).
