Portsmouth Police stay busy with alleged DWIs, assaults

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some highlights from the Portsmouth Police report from over the past week.

Monday, July 1

Raymond T. Walker, 36, of 52 Roberts St., Woonsocket, was arrested on a bench warrant issued from 2nd District Court after the vehicle in which he was riding was stopped for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Stringham Road around 3:25 p.m. In addition, police issued a summons to the driver, Katherine Woodlen, 39, of 233 Park Holm, Newport, was driving after he license had been denied, suspended or revoked.

Tuesday, July 2

Thriller I. Browne, 22, of 6 Connell Highway, Newport, was arrested on a bench warrant issued from 2nd District Court after the vehicle in which he was riding was stopped for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Stringham Road around 8:25 p.m.

Wednesday, July 3

Emily K. Hague, 28, of 248 Dillon Lane, Swansea, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Freeborn Street just before 2 a.m.

Shawn W. Lagasse, 36, of 82 Fiat Ave., Cranston, was charged with driving while intoxicated after police were called to assist a motorist on the Mt. Hope Bridge at 11 p.m. She was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.

Thursday, July 4

Michael R. Souza, 45, of 35 Morton Ave., Dartmouth, was arrested on a warrant after the car he was riding in was stopped for a traffic violation on Park Avenue at Aquidneck Avenue around 5 p.m.

Jonattan E. Acevedo, 30, of 570 Douglas Ave. Apt. 2, Providence, was charged with violating a no-contact order after the vehicle in which he was riding was stopped for a traffic violation on Route 24 South at Sprague Street around 9:15 p.m.

Luis E. Rivera, 62, of 67 Boutwell St., Fall River, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) following a motor vehicle accident on West Main Road around 10:10 p.m. He was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.

Sage J. Sears, 19, of 125 Van Zandt Ave., Apt. 105, Newport, was charged with simple assault after police responded to a report of an assault at CJ’s Pub on Park Avenue around 11:30 p.m.

Friday, July 5

Katherine M. Lidestri, 39, of 15 Indian Head Trail, South Kingstown, was charged with shoplifting at about 1 p.m.

Megan N. O’Neil, 44, of 101 Ravena Ave., Riverside, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Cedar Island at about 11:30 p.m.

Sunday, July 7

Abigail M. Levesque, 20, of 32 Morning Dove Drive, Westport, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North on the Sakonnet River Bridge around 1:30 a.m. Police also cited her for refusing to submit to a chemical test.

Conner M. Lee, 22, of 63 Bellevue Ave., Warwick, was charged after his license had been denied, suspended or revoked, his third offense, after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Freeborn Street around 11:25 a.m.

Monday, July 8

Christine E. Bomba, 36, of 352 Vale St., Apt. 4, Fall River, was charged with driving after her license had been denied, suspended or revoked, after police responded to a request to assist a motorist on Route 24 South at the Anthony Road ramp around 9 a.m.
