Portsmouth Police deal with DUIs, trespassing

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent arrests reported by the Portsmouth Police Department:

Thursday, June 19

Joshua Michael Poore, 32, of 18B Woolsey Road, Middletown, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), first offense, after being pulled over for speeding on West Main Road at West Passage Drive at about 1:10 a.m.

Saturday, June 21

William Thomas Fecteau, 20, of 57 Briarbrook Drive, Seekonk, was charged with DUI, first offense, after being stopped on Boyds Lane at the Route 24 North off-ramp around 12:20 a.m. for moving violations, police said.

Derek Mendes, 31, of 40 Irving St., Brockton, Mass., was charged with DUI, first offense, after being pulled over on West Main Road at Mobil for multiple violations at about 1:30 a.m. Mendes was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.

Two people were charged with trespassing on a railroad right-of-way on Railroad Avenue around 7:30 p.m. They were Jose A. Teixeira-Mendes, 36, of 35 Newbury St., Apt. 1, Brockton, Mass.; and Fortunato Fernandes Afonso, 58, of 70 Florence St., Apt. 2, Brockton, Mass.

Christopher S. Potter, 47, of 150 Montgomery St., Tiverton, was charged shortly before 11:40 p.m. with DUI, first offense; and disorderly conduct. Officers were dispatched to a Greenfield Avenue home to investigate a report of disorderly conduct. While on scene, they made contact with Potter, who observed signs of impairment, according to police. Potter was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, second offense.

Sunday, June 22

Tanisha Yadira Harner, 31, of 16 Cloutman St., Apt. 2, Salem, Mass., was arrested on a Pawtucket Police domestic-related warrant shortly before 12:30 a.m. Garner was pulled over on West Main Road because she was traveling too closely behind another vehicle, police said. She was later transported by Pawtucket Police back to that city.

Kristen N. Dyer, 42, of 975 Stonegate Landing, North Dighton, Mass., was charged with DUI, first offense, after being stopped for moving violations on Route 24 North at Boyds Lane around 1:40 a.m. Dyer was also cited for refusing a chemical test.
