PORTSMOUTH — Police arrested a local man around 5:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, and charged him with violating a protective order.
An investigation determined that Frederick A. Almy, 39, of 8 Strawberry Lane, had violated a Family Court protective order with a 40-year-old Portsmouth woman, according to police.
An arrest warrant was issued and Mr. Almy turned himself in at police headquarters, police said. He was arraigned by a justice of the peace and released.

Friday, Feb. 5
Salvador DaSilva, 21, of 15C Pleasant View Road, Fall River, was charged with violating a no-contact order and driving without an active license after being pulled over on Route 24 North at Boyds Lane around 11:50 a.m. During a routine records check, police determined Mr. DaSliva had an active affidavit warrant from the Providence Police Department, and had an active no-contact order with the vehicle’s female passenger. The victim was a 22-year-old woman from Weymouth, Mass., according to police.
Cristalyni M. Gracia, 22, of 10 Colonels Lane 38, Weymouth, Mass., was arrested on a 2nd District Court bench warrant around 11:50 a.m. She was a passenger in a vehicle that had been pulled over on Route 24 North at Boyds Lane.
Sunday, Feb. 7
Jacqueline J. Halgeson, 37, of 46 Coit Ave., West Warwick, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) and driving without an active license. Police pulled her vehicle over for speeding and committing a lane roadway violation on West Main Road at Willow Lane just before 2 a.m., according to police.
