PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School girls’ varsity basketball team continued its fine season with an impressive come-from-behind win over South Kingstown Monday night at home, 50-46.

The Patriots were down late in the game in the Division I contest, but  rallied past the Rebels to improve their league record to 4-1 and their overall record to 5-2.

Portsmouth’s losses were to La Salle Academy (50-46) in a league game on Dec. 22, and to Rogers (55-49) in a non-league contest on Dec. 9.

Here’s the rest of the January schedule for the Patriots. All games are at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Wednesday, Jan. 4: Ponaganset at home

• Friday, Jan. 6 (6:30 p.m.): at St. Mary Academy Bay View

• Tuesday, Jan. 10 (6 p.m.): at Classical

• Thursday, Jan. 12: Rogers at home

• Sunday, Jan. 16: Barrington at home

• Tuesday, Jan. 18: at Westerly

• Thursday, Jan. 26: at La Salle Academy

• Monday, Jan. 30 (6:15 p.m.): at South Kingstown
