PORTSMOUTH — A six-bedroom home on the town’s western shore, featuring a heated saltwater pool, is being listed at $3,995,000 by Hogan Associates Christie's International Real Estate.

The 9,300-square-foot home, located at The Aquidneck Club at 52 Carnegie Abbey Lane, rests on a .67-acre double lot, with the 40x20-foot pool in the backyard. The broker/co-owner is Matthew Hadfield.

The home was designed by A. Tesa Architecture, and specifically built for a luxurious coastal lifestyle with all of the amenities and rare to find high-end finishes.

Upon entering, you are met by a dramatic grand foyer with Italian “Borghini” marble floors. In the heart of the home is a chef’s kitchen with custom cabinets and an oversized island with Brazilian quartz counters. The kitchen looks out to the pool and the professionally manicured backyard.

The home boasts six bedrooms, with a luxurious primary suite featuring a spacious, spa-like bathroom and custom walk-in closet.

The property features a home theater, gym, game room, two-car garage and pool house. If the new owners decided to join the Aquidneck Club, they could venture off in their golf cart and have access to a championship 18-hole golf course, clubhouse, driving range, tennis courts, equestrian center, spa, fitness center, restaurant and marina.

“This is one of those houses where you can entertain your entire extended family or a group of friends all weekend without leaving,” said Hadfield. “However, if you do, you can go to the Aquidneck Club and play tennis, golf, ride horses or just relax at the spa. Pretty cool.”
