Letter: Thank you for your vote on Election Day

To the editor:

I want to thank the citizens of Portsmouth that took the time to vote on Election Day.  I am especially grateful and appreciative to those who voted for me and have given me the opportunity for a fourth term on the Portsmouth Town Council.

I assure you that my voting decisions will be made after study of the issues involved and that I will listen to the concerns of Portsmouth residents. If I may be of assistance on issues that affect or concern you, please let me know. My contact information is listed on the town’s website.

Lastly, a big thank you to those that donated to my campaign financially and to those that volunteered their time and energy to assist with the campaign of all four Republican candidates. Thank you all.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
