To the editor:

Our news media is constantly filed with instances of governmental dysfunction. This is as it should be.

However when our government performs commendably, we should highlight it. The town’s quick response to the recent washout on Fairview Lane deserves special recognition.

Brian Woodhead the head of Public Works is to be commended. We are all thankful to him for his leader ship and guidance in this matter. RIDOT could learn a lesson from this.
