Juveniles cited for assault, vandalism, cyberstalking in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some highlights from the Portsmouth Police report from over the past week:

Saturday, Nov. 23

Jennifer Cabral, 47, of 178 Fish Road, Tiverton, was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance after the vehicle in which she was riding was stopped for a traffic violation on Chase Road at Sunset Avenue around 9:45 a.m.

Monday, Nov. 25

A 13-year-old juvenile was cited for vandalism (malicious injury to property) after police responded to Hathaway School on Tallman Avenue for a follow-up investigation around 8:15 a.m.

A 13-year-old juvenile was cited for cyberstalking after police responded to Easton Avenue for a follow-up investigation shortly before 9 a.m.

A 13-year-old juvenile was cited for assault at Bradley School on East Main Road after police responded there for a follow-up investigation around 9:40 a.m.

(Note: Police said the 13-year-olds listed above are three different juveniles.)

Charles V. Parker, 32, of Providence, was arrested in the area of East Main Road and Park Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. on warrants issued by Superior Court and Family Court.

Tuesday, Nov. 26

Frank D. Adu, 27, of 21 Maniton Drive, was charged with the fraudulent use of credit cards after he was arrested on a warrant at the police station around 2:45 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 27

Ronald D. Igoe, 29, of 3 Congdon Ave., Newport, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) and driving with an expired license, after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 South at Sprague Street around 2 a.m. Police also cited him for refusing a chemical test.

Case D. Joyner, 39, of 2743 East Main Road, Apt. 1, was arrested on a Portsmouth Police warrant at Newport Hospital around 4 a.m.

A 14-year-old juvenile was cited for cyberstalking after a follow-up investigation at about 9:40 a.m.

Robert M. Grossman, 25, of 106 Warren Ave., East Providence, was charged with violating a no-contact order after the vehicle in which he was riding was stopped for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Turkey Hill at 5:50 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 28

John F. Smith, 56, of 32 Cottage Ave., was arrested on a 2nd District Court bench warrant after the vehicle in which he was riding was stopped on Route 24 North at Boyds Lane around 12:35 a.m.

Friday, Nov. 29

Juan G. Velazquez Ortiz, 33, of 969 West Main Road, Apt. 3604, Middletown, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Prescott Point at about 1:15 a.m.

Donna Cosimini-Cory, 58, of 14 Mare Terrace, was charged with violating a no-contact order (second offense) shortly before 3 p.m. on Mare Terrace.

Kenneth N. Boudreau III, 24, of 394 West Main Road, was charged with domestic assault after police responded to a West Main Road home shortly before midnight to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.

Saturday, Nov. 30

Jae C. Soares Raposa, 25, of Irmo, S.C., was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Locust Avenue around 1:40 a.m. The driver was also cited for refusing a chemical test.

Kelder P. Mendonca Cardoso, 22, of 197 Harrison St., Apt. 1, Pawtucket, was charged with obstructing a police office while in execution of duty after being pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Raytheon around 9:30 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 1

Richard J. Pinkham, 48, of 45 Crossings Court, was charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct after police responded to his home to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance at about 12:20 a.m.

Kyle L. Andrade, 27, of 42 Long Lane, Warren, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Boyds Lane after 2 a.m. He was also cited for refusing a chemical test, according to police.
