Islander charged after alleged altercation on Prudence Ferry

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:

Wednesday, April 2

Dominic Handren, 21, of 170 Hornbine Ave., Prudence Island, was charged with disorderly conduct (fighting/tumultuous behavior). Handren turned himself in at police headquarters around 4:30 p.m. on a warrant that had been issued after he was allegedly involved in a physical altercation aboard the Prudence Island Ferry, police said. 

Thursday, April 3

Kristine Ann Caton, 61, of 21 Charlotte Drive, Bristol, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), second offense, following a traffic stop on East Main Road at Quaker Hill Lane around 4:30 p.m., police said. Caton was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.

Saturday, April 5

Maurice Sol, 34, of 80 Rivet St., New Bedford, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under a suspended foreign license, police said. Sol was pulled over on Route 24 North at Freeborn Street shortly after midnight for driving 70 mph in a 45 mph zone, according to police. 

Rayniel L. Golay, 34, of 11 Orrin White Drive, Apt. 2, Randolph, Mass., was charged with driving under a foreign license that had been suspended or revoked. He was pulled over for speeding on West Main Road at King Charles Drive at about 4:15 p.m.
