Add the organization Wallet Hub to those who believe Rhode Island is one bad place to retire. The organization ranks the Ocean State next to last (Kentucky barely grabs that honor).

Rhode Island’s biggest problem, say this study and others, is its “affordability rank,” specifically its taxes on retirement income, Social Security earnings and everything else.

Lawmakers take note — you are driving retirees and their spending to friendlier places.
