Tiverton Police Report: Several charged with domestic assault

Friday, Feb. 14

At 3:10 p.m., a house on Warren Avenue was ordered to be evacuated after a caller reported that she had crashed her car into the door of the attached garage and that fumes could be smelled coming from the vehicle. Rescue and the building inspector also responded.

Police assisted with a casino ejection at 3:36 p.m.

At 5:42 p.m., a woman told police she had been hit while walking on Randolph Avenue by a vehicle with Massachusetts plates. She declined rescue.

At 8:35 p.m., a Main Road resident (north of Four Corners) reported that coyotes have been killing his livestock.

Saturday, Feb. 15

At 1:05 a.m., police were called about a man sitting on the sidewalk on Walnut Street. He was transported to the hospital.

At 1:02 a.m., a caller reported yelling and banging by neighbors at a Dadson Mobile Home property.

At 11:31 a.m., a Simmons Road caller reported that his dog was bitten that morning by a coyote — minor injury.

Police and rescue responded to Main Road next to the Fall River line at 12:08 p.m. for a man reportedly having a heart attack in his car. The patient was transported to the hospital.

A woman drove to the station at 2:28 p.m. with her boyfriend whom she feared was having a heart attack. He was taken to the hospital.

At 10:40 p.m., police were called to General Auto Parts on King Road regarding an accident that had caused two tow trucks to flip over earlier in the day. No injuries.

At 11 p.m., police were called to Lil’ Bear Lounge for a dispute involving three intoxicated males, “verbal at the moment but escalating.”

Nathan T. Cline, 21, of 260 Souza Road, Tiverton, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 11:50 p.m. after an incident at Lil’ Bear Lounge.

Sunday, Feb. 16

Ronald Cline, 58, of 260 Souza Road, Tiverton, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 3 a.m. (the morning of his birthday) at that address.

At 3:25 a.m., police were called to the casino for assistance dealing with a trespasser.

At 11:56 a.m., police were called to Jacqueline Way for a domestic dispute said to involve a smashed car window and assault. The alleged assailant was not present — Fall River and Westport police were notified.

At 2:26 p.m., Tiverton and State Police were notified that a daughter in the back seat of a car on Route 24 north had called 911. She said her parents were arguing and that she had told her father she would call 911 if he threw his cell phone out the window — “which he did anyway.” East Providence Police finally located those involved.— “No issues.”

Robert A. Ouellette Jr., 32, of Fall River, was arrested on a fugitive from justice (from Florida) charge at 5:15 p.m. at a Stafford Road location.

Seats traced to a missing disabled motor vehicle out of Fall River were found in Pocasset Park near the basketball court at 5:46 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 17

Joel G. Giaconetti, 27, of 2553 Main Road, Tiverton, was arrested at 1 a.m. at that address  on a charge of violating a no-contact order.

A Narragansett Avenue resident reported that his car had been vandalized overnight.

A man, apparently intoxicated, was reported to be lying in the middle of a Main road parking lot. He was gone when police arrived.

Tuesday, Feb. 18

Bruno N. Souza, 25, of Fall River, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license, second offense, at 10:20 p.m. on Main Road.

A delivery man said that he attempted to deliver a new refrigerator to a Canonicus Street resident, “had words” with the female homeowner, and she locked him out — his tools are inside and he’s unable to retrieve them.

Police were called to a rollover accident near 1860 Main Road at 7:26 p.m. No serious injuries reported.

Wednesday, Feb. 19

Police were called to Richard Drive at 6:40 p.m. about a man dressed all in black banging on the house and looking in the window. The man fled before police arrived.

Thursday, Feb. 20

Jesse Paiva, 79, of  Middletown, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence at 8:52 p.m. on Route 24.

Friday, Feb. 21

Georgina Delacampa, 43, of 21 Leger Lane, Tiverton, was arrested on charges of domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct at 11:29 a.m.

Cory J. Delacampa, 32, of 21 Leger Lane, was arrested on charges of domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct at 11:11 a.m.

Alicia L. Eason, 36, of Lowell, Mass., was arrested on a charge of domestic simple assault at the Tiverton Casino at 11:30 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 22

At 2:43 a.m., police went to the Tiverton Casino to assist with a permanent ejection.

Derek J. Correia, 29, of 564 East Road, Tiverton, was arrested on charges of domestic simple assault and domestic vandalism at 4:24 p.m. at that address.

A resident came to the station to report being harassed by the US Census Bureau.

Loose chickens were reported on Hooper Street.

Sunday, Feb. 23

Alexis O. Encarnacion, 53, of Providence, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence at 2:51 a.m. on Canning Boulevard.

At 2:36 p.m., police and rescue went to the vicinity of 499 Main Road for a woman who was hit by a car.  The victim, a Tiverton resident, was transported to RI Hospital for treatment of injuries.  No charges were filed against the driver, a Bristol resident.

Joseph R. Petres Jr., 37, of Fall River, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence at 6:19 p.m. on Canonicus Street after his vehicle struck and snapped a utility pole. 

A Fairwood Drive resident reported that his neighbor constantly drives by and comments about his property.

Jordan M. Winslow, 35, of 62 Jefferson St., Tiverton, was arrested on a warrant at 7:56 p.m. for three charges of domestic simple assault, domestic 1st degree sexual assault (rape), and refusal to relinquish a telephone.

Jovelle A. Burgo, 23, of Taunton, Mass., was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and duty to stop, damage to an attended vehicle, at 11:36 p.m. on Stafford Road.

Monday, Feb. 24

Robert N. Tritto, 34, of Revere, Mass., was arrested on two counts of narcotics possession at the Tiverton Casino at 4:25 a.m.
