Thomas G. Dunn III, 74, Tiverton

Thomas G. Dunn III, 74, of Tiverton, died Monday August 12, 2019, at home. He was the husband of Flora Jo ( Nichols) Dunn; they were married for over 14 years.

He was born in Ballston Spa, New York, a son of the late Thomas G. and Barbara (Foote) Dunn Jr. 

Thomas was the town administrator for the Town of Little Compton for over five years before retiring. Prior to that he worked for several banks — Barclays bank, Fleet Bank and Old Stone Bank, as a loan officer, and he also managed assets.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving as a sergeant in the Vietnam War.

He loved playing golf and all sports, and was a fan of the New England Patriots and Providence Bruins. He loved to travel to Florida.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, twins Kristen Dunn and Erin Kist, and Jo-Ann Lemay.

He was the brother of Constance Edwards of Florida, and step brother of Robert Brooks of Massachusetts. Thomas is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held Wednesday August 21, at 1 p.m. in the Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Wednesday August 21, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
