Robert Augustin “Bob” Dyer III, 64, of Big Timber, Montana, formerly of Little Compton, died July 24, 2020, at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Col. He was born in Providence, the son of Robert and Maureen Carroll Dyer.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Audrene Kunda; her three daughters and six grandchildren; son, Robert, daughter-in-law, Rosa, and granddaughter, Kelsi. Also surviving are brother, Dave, sister-in-law, Kathy and niece, Emily; his aunt, Nance Carroll and several cousins. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, brother, Thomas, and his Uncle Bob Carroll.

Bob lived the majority of his life in Rhode Island, most recently in Little Compton for 22 years where he served on the Town Council and was president of Little Compton Republican Town Committee.

He enjoyed spending time at the beach and when he moved to Montana he took up fly fishing and providing color commentary for the Bozeman Bucks baseball team. He was a family man who had a great personality and sense of humor and was able to recite 90’s comedies by heart including his favorite, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Bob was a man of great faith and one of his favorite scriptures was Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declared the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Gatherings in Montana and Rhode Island to celebrate his life will be planned for the future.

Memorials may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital or St. Catherine of Siena Church in Little Compton.
