Patriots fall to Exeter-West Greenwich in D-2 quarterfinals

PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School girls’ volleyball team was bounced from the playoffs Tuesday night by visiting Exeter-West Greenwich in straight sets.

In a Division II quarterfinal matchup in the PHS field house, the Scarlet Knights beat the No. 2-seeded Patriots by scores of 25-21, 25-19, and 25-20. 

Despite the loss, PHS senior Meghan Lehan had an outstanding game, with 12 kills, four aces, eight digs and six assists.
