PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School boys’ hockey team won its fourth consecutive game Saturday by beating Barrington, 5-4, in a non-league contest Saturday night at the Portsmouth Abbey Rink.

The PHS team plays in Division II, while the Eagles are in Division I.

The win improved the Patriots’ record to 8-2-1, with just Lincoln ahead of them in the D-2 standings. The Patriots’ only losses thus far both came at the hands of the Narragansett/Chariho co-op team, which defeated Portsmouth by identical 2-1 scores on Jan. 2 and 9.
