Little Compton Police: Concert sign stickers investigated

Monday, Feb. 13

Police officers discovered several state and town traffic signs that had been defaced with bumper stickers voicing opposition to Alex and Ani vineyard concerts . Police are investigating.

Tuesday, Feb. 14

At 12:35 p.m., officers responded to a laneway off Long Highway to assist a motorist whose vehicle had slid off the road and struck a tree. There was no report of injuries.

Friday, Feb. 17

A Sakonnet Point Road resident reported a 1:37 p.m. having received a scam phone call from someone claiming to be the IRS.

A few hours later, a Long Highway resident told police she had received a scam phone call having to do with her computer.

Saturday, Feb. 18

At 3:12 p.m., a caller reported a fraudulent Craigslist advertisement listing a Stone Church house for rent. Police are investigating.
