To the editor:
I voted for Obama, was excited for "Hope & Change," then Obama realized you can't accomplish anything in Washington. All his ideas and visions were left at the election booths because Congress is broken. He was ineffective to fight with both sides of the millionaire Congress that only work for themselves and the swamp.
Now we have a bully who gets a lot done because he doesn't need Congress, he calls them out by name. The swamp doesn't like light being shown on them. Hell, Even the Republicans didn't want Trump during the primaries, he wasn't "controllable." He is an a**hat the way he bullies everyone. But with the self-serving people he is fighting some times you need a bully.
Our country is equally divided at this time and that it is telling, it didn't just happen. People love or hate Trump. Your angst should be pointed at Congress. They are the reason we need/have a bully. They serve only themselves to every American's loss.
"I will sign on to your bill if you do X" and X never helps the taxpayer. Our forefathers' plan was not to bring together highly educated entitled people to govern and treat the masses with contempt. We should be mad but not at each other, for we are all fools. If the press will not police Congress then we are fraught to have more Trump types fight our battles. Congress will not vote themselves term limits, so other than more bullies or press investigations how can this be fixed? Is there just too much money and power to be fixed?
I want the disgusting grandstanding and dividing to stop.
Merry Christmas!
