The Little Compton Tree Committee (LCTC) has the following logo from a woodcut probably made in the 70s. The logo image we have is faint and old. We want to find the original woodcut – it is probably stored by a Little Compton resident safety in a box, in an attic, in a basement? If it can be found, we will ink it and make another print to be digitized at high resolution to use for a new logo and return the precious woodcut to its owner. We have already asked many people involved historically with LCTC and this enquiry method was suggested and seems a good idea.
LCTC hosts several events per year where trees are donated to the public at very low prices together with detailed information on where and how to plant the tree. We have a tent for each event to shade us and our tree donations from the sun but want to make a LCTC banner involving the original woodcut logo to string across the tent. We hope someone may locate the LCTC logo woodcut – if you know of its whereabouts, please contact us at 401-635-2210 or send an e-mail to julie.mcgeoch@cfa.harvard.edu. LCGC hopes your recently acquired tree is doing well – don’t forget to water it daily in these tough dry days.
