John Paul Farnworth, 87, of Tiverton, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022. He was the husband of Judith “Judie” (Hipson) Farnworth. They shared 63 years of marriage.  Prior to his retirement, John was employed by Charlton Memorial Hospital.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Boehr Council 4753. 

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, David Farnworth (wife Diane) of Tiverton and Jeffrey Farnworth (wife Yvette) of Fall River; six grandchildren, Andrew Farnworth, Meaghan Hannagan (husband Colin), Andrea Allan (husband Kenneth), Alex, Nicole and Daniel Farnworth; and four great-grandchildren, Connor, Nora, Natalie and Archibald.

He was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Marsden) Farnworth.

Visitation is Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St. Fall River. Funeral s Friday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Church, Tiverton. Burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Mass. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
