James S. Waite Sr., 75, Little Compton

James S. Waite Sr., 75, died Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at St. Anne’s Hospital, Fall River. He was the husband of Frances R. (Dowdy) Waite.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Lewis E. Waite and Emma (Perry) Waite, he was a life-long resident of Little Compton.

Jim was co-owner of Sakonnet Plumbing, retiring after 40 years. He was a US Air Force veteran, serving in Vietnam, and a member of the VFW of North Dartmouth, Mass.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, James S. Waite Jr., of Little Compton; and three sisters, Judy Gomez and Barbara Wilkie, both of Little Compton, and Rochelle Wardell of Tiverton.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, March 14 , from 2 to 3:15 p.m. His service will be held at 3:15 p.m. in the Fern Acres Funeral Home, 72 Willow Ave., Little Compton. Military honors will follow.
