Pending mail ballots that have not yet been counted, it appears likely that Tiverton School Committee chairwoman Diane M. Farnworth will return for another term.

With three seats open, Farnworth will likely be joined by newcomers Kimbely Paquette and Jocelyn D. Sherman, who finished second and third in the running, respectively.

Michael DeCotis, the only incumbent besides Farnworth in the race, finished in sixth place, well out of the running.

Also failing to earn a seat on the committee were challengers Jordan Lee Reilly and Brendan Andrade.

Though in person and early ballots have been tallied, the results of mail ballots will not be known until Wednesday.
