David B. Frost, of Fall River, died May 11, 2019, in Fallbrook, California. He was 73 and suffered a heart attack, passing away at home.

He was born January 6, 1946 to David Frost and Ella "Dot" Frost, both now deceased.

David lived in Fall River, Massachusetts; Little Compton, and, for the last 18 years, with his wife in Fallbrook, California.

In his professional life, David worked in the transportation industry as a tractor-trailer driver for several companies, including Jones Motor as a foreman and for USF Red Star. He was a member of Local 251.

David served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany for two years. He was a member of The Nature Conservancy, the Fallbrook Land Conservancy, and enjoyed gardening and studying history.

He was buried on June 11 at Riverside National Cemetery with military honors.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
