Freshly elected Little Compton Town Council members Robert Mushen, Gary Mataronas, Patrick McHugh and Victoria Talbot were sworn in for their upcoming terms this past Thursday, joining Andrew Iriarte-Moore, who was sworn earlier but was out of the country for the official swearing-in. With a 3-2 Democratic majority, McHugh, a Democrat, was unanimously voted president and replaces Mushen, a Republican. McHugh praised Mushen for his class and cooperation during the transfer of power while also thanking Mataronas for his role on the council. In addition, he thanked Paul Golembeske, who was not re-elected, for his years of service.
