Townies' sprinters compete at freshmen states

East Providence 4x200-meter relay team of Dania Solano (left), Janelle Amado, Gianna DosSantos and Genna DosSantos placed sixth during the freshmen state track meet at the Providence Career and Tech Academy on Tuesday night. 
 Gianna DosSantos also placed third in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.70 seconds.

East Providence sprinter Gianna DosSantos placed third in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.70 seconds during the freshmen girls indoor track championships at the Providence Career and Technical Academy on Tuesday night. 
DosSantos also ran the second leg of the 4x200-meter relay with teammates Dania Solano, Janelle Amado and Genna DosSantos. The Townies placed sixth during the event, with a time of 2.01.2 minutes.
