Tyler DiCecco, a senior pitcher for the East Providence varsity baseball team, tossed a no-hitter, complete game on Friday, April 11 during the Townies 9-0 shellacking of Toll Gate High School. He tallied 12 strikeouts and only allowed baserunners on five walks throughout the masterful performance. He even helped his own case by knocking in two RBIs from the batter’s box.
He is pictured here alongside assistant Townies coach, Kyle Marquis, who was (fittingly enough) the last Townies pitcher to accomplish a no-hitter (he threw two in 2015). To add a cherry on top, DiCecco tossed the gem on the same day as his little brother, Brandon’s, birthday.
