Robert R. Parker, 76, of Riverside

Robert R. Parker, 76, of Riverside, passed away on December 24, 2019. He worked for the City of East Providence for 30 years before retiring as an Assistant Electrical Mechanical Supervisor. Robert was also a special needs bus driver for three and a half years.
Married for 46 years, he was the husband of Dolores R. (Paulhus) Parker. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Thomas R. and Leonilda (Teixeira) Parker and brother of the late Thomas R. Parker Jr.
Robert was a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, a member of the American Legion Post 10, a life member of Good Sam Camping Club as well as a member of Antique Automobile Club of America, REO Club of America and Vermont Automobile Enthusiasts. He enjoyed traveling, camping and antique autos.
Besides his wife Dolores, he leaves two sons, Robert V. Province III and Scott R. Parker both of Riverside; a daughter, Patricia C. Frye of Maine, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by Smith-Mason Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK, 22478, in Robert’s memory.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Dec. 30, at the Smith-Mason, 398 Willett Ave., at 6:30 p.m. Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m.
