RIDOT announces upcoming lane closures on Henderson Bridge

PROVIDENCE — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation announced the following upcoming lane closures on the Henderson Expressway as part of its $84.4 million Replacement Project in East Providence and Providence:

Effective Monday, Jan. 4, Massasoit Ave., from Wilmarth Ave. to Dexter Rd., both directions of travel will be shifted to the west side of Massasoit Ave. with one lane through in each direction for construction, 24 hours every day.

Effective Monday, Jan. 4, Henderson Expwy., from North Broadway to Massasoit Ave., left lane closed for construction, Mon.-Fri., 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

Effective Monday, Jan. 4, Henderson Expwy. East, from the Waterman St. on-ramp to the North Broadway off-ramp, left lane closed for construction, 24 hours every day.

Henderson Expwy. West, from the Henderson Bridge West to Angel St., left lane closed for construction and paving, 24 hours every day. Effective until Saturday, Jan. 9. Frequent vehicle access in/out of work zone.
