EAST PROVIDENCE — The East Providence High School girls' lacrosse team is off to a solid start in the Division III ranks this spring, the Townies improving to 4-2 with their most recent victory over North Providence.

E.P. defeated the host Cougars by a 14-4 count. The Townies only losses came to a pair of teams above them currently in the standings: 14-3 to Chariho (6-1) and 8-7 in the final moments to Johnston (6-2).

The Townies are slated to return to action Monday night, May 2, at home at the high school opposite visiting Westerly at 5:45 p.m.
