Maria E. Rodrigues, 91, of East Providence, died peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Linn Health Care Center in East Providence. She was born in Providence the daughter of the late Angelo and Maria (Branco) Rodrigues.

Maria was a Stenographer for the State of Rhode Island for over 30 years before retiring to care for her loving parents. Maria was a talented vocalist and pianist. In her youth, Maria performed with the Chaminade Club in Providence. Maria proudly sang with the St. Francis Xavier Church Choir for many years. She was also a past member of the Rosary Sodality at the church. As she grew older, she continued singing – sharing her talents at Goldsmith Manor, Winslow Gardens and the Linn Health Center. Maria would even sing Karaoke at holidays bringing smiles to our family.

Maria, affectionately known as Titia to family and even friends, was a loving, gentle woman. She cared deeply for her family, her friends and even their pets. She devoted her life to caring for others and had a devout faith to the Blessed Mother.

Maria is survived by her niece MaryAnn Iannuccillo of Smithfield, and her husband Bruce, her nephew Daniel Rodrigues, and his wife Maryann, of North Attleboro. She also leaves Kathleen Rodrigues of East Providence, widow of her late nephew, Paul. She is also survived by seven great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces. She was the sister of the late John A. Rodrigues and Armando A. Rodrigues and the aunt of the late Paul Rodrigues.

Maria was blessed to have wonderful caregivers in her last years at the Linn Health Center.

Her funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 12, at 8:30 a.m. from the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 North Carpenter Street. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours Friday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Francis Xavier Church would be appreciated. Visit www.rebellofuneralhome.com for online condolences.
