To the editor:
This letter is in response to the letter (“City should say no to eminent domain,” printed in the March 4, 2021 edition of The Post) by a group of people re: Eminent Domain of the Metacomet Property.
I am a concerned resident and a voter who resides in the center of East Providence close to the Veterans Memorial Parkway and the Metacomet property. I, along with many others in the city, strongly oppose any development at Metacomet! This section of East Providence is already over-developed with more talk about waterfront development in this area.
I request that the mayor and city council members assure that the Metacomet property be protected and preserved with only open space!!!
