EPHS girls' soccer team hosts Moses Brown in playoff opener
Townies host Quakers November 17 at Pierce Stadium
EAST PROVIDENCE — The unbeaten East Providence High School girls' soccer team opens its chase for the Division II championship Tuesday, Nov. 17, by hosting Moses Brown in a quarterfinal playoff game at Pierce Stadium. Kick off is 4 p.m.
The Townies finished their pandemic-shortened regular season with a 5-0-1 record and 16 points, good enough to earn the No. 1 seed in the D-II tournament.
Moses Brown is the 10th seed. The Quakers edged seventh-seeded Lincoln High, 1-0, in their preliminary round game played Sunday, Nov. 15.
The victor Tuesday advances to the semifinals Thursday, Nov. 19, against the winner of the 4-5 match between Prout and West Warwick. If the Townies reach the semis, they would host the game.
The Division II championship match is slated for Saturday, Nov. 21, at Johnston High School at 3 p.m.
