WARWICK — East Providence product and Community College of Rhode Island freshman forward Mitchel Noresca broke the school record for rebounds in a single game, grabbing 29 boards in the Knights’ 83-67 victory over visiting Bristol Community College Tuesday night, Feb. 4, in Warwick.
Noresca, a 2019 East Providence High School grad, also added 10 points. He broke the mark set 45 years ago by Warren Marshall, who also set the former standard in a game against BCC. Marshall had 28 rebounds against the BayHawks during the 1974-75 season.
Through 25 games as of February 7, Noresca was averaging 14.4 rebounds and 11.6 points per game for the Knights, who entered the weekend with a 17-8 overall record. CCRI was in first place with a 13-1 mark in the Region XXI conference ranks.
