PROVIDENCE — The Providence County Grand Jury recently returned an indictment charging Bryan Nadrowski, originally from East Providence, with two counts of first-degree sexual assault, domestic, and two counts of larceny under $1,500. The Office of Attorney General Peter Nehronha reported out the result last week.

Mr. Nadrowski, 25, with a current address of Barefoot Bay, Fla., is alleged to have engaged in the acts with an adult female, who has diagnosed mental disabilities, according to the report of East Providence Police Detective Corporal Michael Spremulli, a member of the department’s Special Victims Unit.

The alleged acts occurred in East Providence over a roughly three-month period between January 1, 2019 and March 18, 2019. According to Det. Corp. Spremulli’s case notes, Mr. Nadrowski had forcible sexual relations with the same victim, a known acquaintance, on several occasions during that time. Also, in what was described as a “controlling relationship,” Mr. Nadrowksi enticed the victim into providing him with money she received through government assistance. Det. Corp. Spremulli said of the alleged perpetrator, “He preys on the mentally challenged.”

Following his arrest, Mr. Nadrowksi was released on bail. He was scheduled to be arraigned on December 11 in Providence County Superior Court. First-degree sexual is a capital offense and carries a penalty of up to life in prison.
