Dorothy A. Faria, 86, East Providence

Dorothy A. Faria, 86, of East Providence, passed away on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022. She was the wife of the late Anthony T. Faria.

Born in Providence, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Angelina (Cazzi) St. Angelo. Dorothy and her husband were the owners of the Oyster House Marina & Restaurant in East Providence for nearly 40 years. She was an avid bowler who also enjoyed reading and taking boat rides to Martha’s Vineyard.

Dorothy was a caring mother and proud grandmother who loved being surrounded by her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She leaves three daughters, Deborah Pfanstiehl of East Providence, Donna Martin and her husband Shaun of Middletown, Conn., Lisa Walker and her husband Clifford of Seekonk, Mass.; one brother, Charles J. St. Angelo, Jr. and his wife Carol of Bristol, R.I., and five grandchildren, Victoria Pfanstiehl, Chelsea Jackman, Cassie Martin, Thomas Pfanstiehl, and Mikayla Walker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. The burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, P.O.
