To the editor:
On behalf of the Bristol Youth Soccer Association (BYSA) we would like to thank the many generous volunteers who gave of their time, talent and resources to help build our new storage facility at Colt State Park. With oversight by Michael Delmage, BYSA received building materials and professional services from multiple local businesses. Steve Contente and Warren Rensehausen helped us work through the State of Rhode Island approvals. Cordelia Dawson provided the designs. Stephen Knapman the contractor’s license and liability insurance. Rick Corey provided use of his building equipment. Neil Swift acted as crew chief. Humphrey’s provided lumber at cost. Serafin DaPonte provided the excavation and final sight work. Chris Anni supplied and installed the garage doors. Jayson Costa supplied and installed the granite counters. Wayne Gablinske & Roger Ferreira supplied and installed all the electrical. Kevin Sousa installed the roof shingles. Ryan Maduro installed the cement walkways. Carl Benevides & Bill Cole installed the exterior shingles. AJ Santoro painted the interior. Seth Usher, Duffy Loftus and Jamie Cavalieri helped with framing. Senator Walter Felag secured a $7,500 grant from the State of Rhode Island, and the soccer community provided an additional $12,000 in personal donations. Thanks to Bristol Parks & Recreation, Mt Hope Garage Door, R. Corey Construction, Quality Construction & Roofing, Humphrey Building & Supply, DaPonte’s Landscaping, Wayne Electric, PrimeCo Painting, Mount Hope Paint & Decorating, Sen. Walter S. Felag, Jr., Cordelia Dawson Architecture & Design, Carl F Benevides General Contractor, J & E Marble & Granite, Maduro Masonry, and Neil Swift Construction. All these volunteers were willing to contribute in their own unique way without asking or expecting anything in return. We are so very grateful for their generosity, hard work and huge hearts!
