Susana M. Calisto, age 61, Warren

Susana M. Calisto, age 61, of Warren, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Born in Pico da Pedra, São Miguel, Acores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Guilermo and Maria (Almeida) Calisto.

Susana worked as a Stone Layer for Warren Monument for many years. She was a member of Holy Ghost of St. Thomas Church as well as Ladies of the Rosary of St. Thomas.

Susana is survived by her sister, Louise Calisto of Bristol as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. from Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St, Warren followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in North Burial Ground, Bristol. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
