Susan E. (Rhynard) Almeida, 67, of Bristol, R.I., died, Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

She was the wife of 38 years to Robert M. Almeida.

Born in Attleboro, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Charles K. and Florence Loretta (Ellis) Rhynard.

Mrs. Almeida had worked as a line assigner at Verizon for many years. After her retirement, she went on to earn her CNA and Med Tech certificates.

She and her husband enjoyed going out to eat, skydiving in Newport and staying home watching a movie.

She loved her grandchildren very much and was very proud of them.

She had a great love of horses and had earned many equestrian ribbons. She also enjoyed to collect Antique Tea Cups.

She was a member of New Hope Christian Church, where she was involved in many activities and volunteered every week. The pastor of New Hope Christian Church, Rev. David Therrien, published many books. In fact, there was an acknowledgement in one of his books that read, “A huge Thank You to Sue Almeida who worked diligently and tirelessly to take this book from an audio file and put it into print. I and all who read, thank you, Sue.”

Mrs. Almeida enjoyed talking to everyone. No matter if you were a relative, friend, or stranger, she was there for you unconditionally. She was a remarkable loving and giving person to all.

Besides her husband, she is survived a son, Kenneth R. Domingues and his wife Lisa of Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter, Angela M. Boulay of North Providence, R.I.;, a brother, Charles Rhynard of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three sisters, Linda Rhynard of Bristol, R.I., Laurie Matrone of Tiverton, R.I., and Cynthia Panzarella of Warren, R.I.; seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
