Maureen C. (Egan) Siino, 90, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Frederick A. Siino. Born in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late John J. Egan and Marion L. (Palmer) Egan.

A longtime resident of Barrington, RI, Maureen graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. A week after graduation, Maureen married Frederick Siino, to whom she was devoted for the ensuing 59 years. She further dedicated her life to her six children, whom she raised with the care and attentiveness that has served as a great example for the family as it continues to grow to this day.

In addition to her place as matriarch of a growing family, Maureen was deeply committed to her Catholic faith, which she served faithfully throughout her life. She was a long-time communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Bristol and also of Holy Angels in Barrington where she was the co-director of the religious education program. She was a dog-lover, especially Boston Terriers; was a voracious reader and crossword puzzle aficionado.

Maureen’s legacy includes her large family, who are forever imprinted by her nurturing love, sense of humor, incomparable wisdom and calming spirit. She is survived by her six caring children: Katherine Siino of Wethersfield, Conn., Michael Siino and his wife Carole (Doyle) Siino of Little Compton, Frederick Siino of Providence, Gerard Siino and his wife Francine Vosikas Siino of Framingham, Mass., Maria (Siino) Wadlinger and her husband Joseph Wadlinger of Beverly, Mass., and Anne (Siino) Carvalho and her husband Antonio Carvalho of Venice, Fla. She is also survived by her 17 adoring grandchildren, 10 beautiful great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, 131 State Rd., Bristol. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Unbound at https://www.unbound.org/DonationFunds/General or to Alzheimer's Association, Rhode Island Chapter, 245 Waterman St #306, Providence, RI 02906. For online tributes, please visit: www.wilbur-romano.com
