Maria (dos Santos) Rodrigues, 93, of Wilson Street passed away on April 29, 2021. She was the wife of the late Adelino Rodrigues.

Born in Serra de Agua, Madeira, Portugal, she was daughter of the late Jose and Delfina dosSantos. She was the mother of Joseph Rodrigues, Fernanda Roth, Seraphina Rodrigues, Rita Lopes (Aires), Engracia Rodrigues-Salley (Neil), Adelino Rodrigues, Paul Rodrigues (Elizabeth) and the late Joseph Rodrigues.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph Thompson, Neil Salley, Ezekiel Salley, Daniel Rodrigues and Tyler Rodrigues. She was the sister of Adriana dos Santos, Bernadette Milo, Engraca dos Santos, Palmira dos Santos and the late Elias dos Santos, Manuel dos Santos, Virgilio dos Santos, Anibal dos Santos and Gilda Clemente.

Mrs. Rodrigues was employed by Converse before retiring. She was skilled at Madeira cutwork embroidery and an expert gardener who was known for her green thumb. She kept her family well supplied with the flowers, fruits and vegetables from her garden she lovingly shared with them. One of her greatest joys was being able to cook for her family when they gathered together.

Her funeral services were held May 3 at St. Elizabeth’s Church. Burial followed in North Burial Ground.

Memorial donations may be made to: Alzheimer’s Association, RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St., #306, Providence, RI 02916.

Arrangements are with the George Lima Funeral Home.  www.limafh.com
