Maria F. (Garcia) Rosa, 98, of Bristol passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021. She was the wife of the late Jacinto Rosa.
Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Francisco F. and Maria (Ferreira) Garcia.
Maria was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church in Bristol. She enjoyed sewing. Her biggest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
Maria is survived by her children: Maria C. Rosa, Joseph Rosa (Paula), Manuel Rosa, Sr. (Doreen); her grandchildren: Sherri Rosa, Melissa Rosa, Doreen Aubin, Manuel Rosa, Jr; her great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn DeCosta, Kayli Rosa, Cassondra Rosa, Alexis Aubin, Zachary Aubin; and her sisters: Alicia Nunes and Judith Rego.
She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Jacinto; her parents Francisco and Maria Garcia; her children: Jose and Louisa Rosa; her great-grandchild: David Aubin; and her brother: Manuel Garcia.
Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, are Wednesday Nov. 3, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
