Maria Eduarda (Oliveira) Machado, 86, of Berry Lane passed away on Aug. 8, 2020, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Manuel Machado.
Born in Pico da Pedra, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Mariano and Maria doRosario (Pacheco) deOliveira. She is survived by her children, Carlos Machado and his wife Cindy, Eduardo Machado and his wife Lisa, and was the mother of the late Jose Machado and Louis Machado. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Megan Hill and her husband Christopher, Jordyn Machado, Joey Machado, Samantha Machado and Michael Machado, and was the grandmother of the late Nelson Machado. She was the great-grandmother of Andrew Hill and Julian Hill and the sister of Jose Oliveira.
Mrs. Machado was educated in Portugal and employed by American Tourister for 25 years before retiring.
Her funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m. from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m..
