Manuel Correia Silva, 84, of Bristol

Manuel Correia Silva, 84, of State Street, Bristol, passed away on July 11, 2021, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Cidalia Maria (Simao) Silva.   

Born in Capelo, Faial, Azores, Portugal, he was son of the late Joaquim Correia daSilva and Maria Moitoso Correia. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Doig, and her husband Bill; and granddaughters, Corissa Doig and Corinne David and her husband Tyler. He was the brother of Joseph (Theresa) Silva, Antonette (Jose) Goulart, Beatrice Costa and the late Alvarino Silva and Constantino daSilva. He was the brother-in-law of Maria daSilva and also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Silva was educated in Portugal and the owner of Cumberland Seafood before retiring.

His funeral services will be held Friday, July 16, at 10 a.m., from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., Bristol, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
